Welcome to the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation VLOG

Are you curious about what's going on in the 100-Acre Wood? We're thrilled to present a video series so you can virtually explore and learn about what we do at BIBLF and beyond. From a virtual tour of our Storybook Trail, to the goings-on at our Sugar Shack, we'll be bringing you closer to our cause.

Did you know that we have over 10km of trails to enjoy? Or that $2.5 million has been gifted through our literacy programs, scholarships, grants, and book distributions in New Hampshire and Western Maine? Stay in the know with our new series, and, of course, drop by to visit the many activities on the property.

Videos posted every week!

With sugaring season upon us, it's time to take a look at our tapping, boiling, and bottling processes at the 100-Acre Wood.

Maple syrup is a delicious and nutritious treat, and we're happy to be making our very own syrup right in Intervale.

Check out our video below and come purchase some syrup at our Sugar Shack Friday-Sunday, or our administration office Monday-Thursday!

Video Transcript:

Hi there, A.O. here with the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation. Welcome to our Sugar Shack!

Every year, we tap the maple trees right here on our property in the 100-Acre Wood. Using fire wood from our property, for our wood fired boiler, we cook the sap in our sugar shack to make maple syrup that’s delicious, nutritious, and locally made.

All net proceeds of 100- Acre Wood Maple Syrup purchases support Believe in Books Literacy Foundation’s children’s literacy programs!

Beginning with Chocolate Fest, February 23rd, our sugar shack opens for the season Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11-4 until the end of April. During Sugar Shack open hours, learn about maple sugaring, and see the syrup making process in action.

Maple syrup can also be purchased from our administration offices, Monday through Thursday, year-round!
